Overview:
The Content Specialist supports a range of communications and digital marketing initiatives with a strong focus on content creation, social media management, and campaign coordination. This role is ideal for a creative generalist who can produce high-quality content across platforms to help drive brand awareness and engagement.
In partnership with the communications and marketing teams, the Content Specialist will be a storyteller for an iconic real estate portfolio with buildings including One World Trade Center, One Five One West 42nd Street, and VIA 57 WEST. The Content Specialist will collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to explore buildings, neighborhoods, and the history of a company that has shaped New York City for 110 years.
Responsibilities:
- Create, write, and publish compelling content for social media (for example: LinkedIn and Instagram), email newsletters, Durst-residential and Durst-commercial Apps, internal communications platforms, and other digital channels.
- Consistently capture and reflect Durst’s unique voice and perspective throughout all executions to maintain brand affinity.
- Support and develop content marketing strategies that align with initiatives and company goals.
- Manage the planning and execution of content calendars to align with broader Communications/Marketing campaigns and business goals.
- Coordinate and track timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics for campaigns and content initiatives to support company goals.
- Monitor and engage with audiences across platforms, responding to comments and messages as needed, while maintaining Durst’s voice and brand image.
- Support all brand storytelling efforts with audio/visual content including hooks, photos, and videos.
- Oversee and direct consultants (such as videographers) to help produce desired content on time and within budget.
- Maintain digital asset libraries and ensure content consistency with brand guidelines.
- Assist with reporting on content performance and provide insights to guide future efforts.
- Monitor trends and adopt best practices to produce top-quality content to support business objectives.
- Serve as a resource, advocate, and catalyst for sustainability at The Durst Organization. Apply the skills unique to your core job responsibilities for practical integration of sustainability into processes, standard operating procedures, and adopted business practices. Seek to empower our colleagues, consultants, tenants and residents to prioritize and actively engage in environmental stewardship.
- Perform all other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, related field or equivalent related experience required
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across digital formats
- Proven experience creating high-quality content on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
- Must provide portfolio of digital social media content
- Project management experience preferred
- Previous relevant experience within Real Estate industry, preferred
- Familiarity with content tools such as Canva, Buffer/Hootsuite, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Passion for digital content, social media trends, and audience engagement; and passionate about New York City
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
