About The Nuclear Company

The Nuclear Company (TNC) is transforming the nuclear energy sector by streamlining execution, leveraging advanced technology, and fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

TNC operates as a fleet-scale nuclear power developer, bringing a disciplined, execution-focused approach to an industry that has historically struggled with cost overruns and schedule delays. By leveraging proven technologies and innovative digital solutions, we're building nuclear plants faster, cheaper, and safer than ever before.

We believe that detailed, executable plans—constantly evaluated and refined—are central to achieving long-term success. Our dedicated teams work in parallel across all phases, ensuring the readiness and smooth execution of the entire project.

About Nuclear OS

In partnership with Palantir Technologies, TNC is developing Nuclear OS - a secure, AI-native digital platform that serves as an integrated operating system for managing every aspect of nuclear plant construction and commissioning. Nuclear OS consolidates formerly siloed data (engineering plans, project schedules, supply chain information, and more) into a unified digital twin, enabling real-time visibility, predictive analytics, and AI-driven decision support.

This is the first AI-driven, real-time software system built for nuclear construction, transforming nuclear project delivery from a high-risk endeavor into a data-driven, predictable process.

Position Overview

We're seeking a Senior Developer to join our Nuclear OS team and help build the future of nuclear construction technology. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge software that directly impacts the deployment of clean energy infrastructure at scale. You'll be working with a modern tech stack built on Palantir Foundry, developing applications that integrate AI, digital twins, and predictive analytics into a single digital framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Complex Technical Development: Design and implement sophisticated software solutions within the Nuclear OS platform, demonstrating advanced technical expertise across the full stack
  • Build AI-Native Applications: Develop and deploy machine learning models and AI capabilities within the Palantir Foundry environment, including predictive analytics and intelligent automation features
  • Develop Full-Stack Solutions: Create robust front-end applications and backend services that communicate through secure APIs, ensuring seamless data integration across the platform
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to project teams, serve as a technical reviewer and approver, and mentor junior developers
  • Software Development Lifecycle Excellence: Apply disciplined engineering processes for specification and implementation of design requirements, following industry best practices
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively between design, IT, and field construction teams, translating complex technical requirements into practical solutions
  • DevSecOps Implementation: Contribute to continuous deployment practices using Palantir Apollo, ensuring secure and reliable software delivery across various environments

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7-12 years of professional software development experience
  • Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects and technical initiatives
  • Experience with enterprise-scale software systems and data integration platforms

Technical Skills:

  • Core Technologies: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React
  • Platform Experience: Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar data integration platforms preferred

Software Engineering: Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle, version control (Git), and modern development tools

  • AI/ML: Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and model deployment
  • DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud/on-premises deployment

Professional Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
  • Commitment to code quality, testing, and documentation
  • Security-conscious development practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in highly regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, defense, or similar)
  • Background in digital engineering or industrial software systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with data modeling and ontology development
  • Knowledge of project management and construction workflows

What We Offer

  • Meaningful Impact: Work on technology that directly enables clean energy deployment and addresses climate change
  • Cutting-Edge Technology: Build with modern tools and frameworks at the intersection of AI, data science, and industrial software
  • Learning & Growth: Continuous education opportunities and exposure to nuclear industry expertise

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
