8609 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60631

We’re Hiring: People Operations Manager (a.k.a. The Heartbeat of Our Team!)

Do you believe that great HR is more than just policies and paperwork? Are you equal parts strategic mastermind and people whisperer? Do you throw confetti (metaphorically… or literally, we don’t judge) when someone nails their goals, feels heard, or finds joy at work?

If you’re nodding your head, we want YOU to be our next People Operations Manager.

We’re looking for a culture champion, people pro, and process guru who’s ready to lead the charge in making our organization an even better place to work. From employee relations to engagement, from payroll to performance management—you’ll touch every stage of the employee lifecycle and help us bring our people-first philosophy to life.

What You’ll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and support the professional development of the People Operations team to ensure high-quality HR service delivery across the organization.
  • Employee Experience & Culture: Lead initiatives that enhance the employee experience, including onboarding, engagement programs, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) efforts, and recognition activities that foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Strategic HR Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders, providing guidance on people-related matters and helping teams navigate complex challenges with empathy and strategic insight.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance review process, goal setting, and development planning. Provide tools and training to ensure consistent, constructive feedback and professional growth opportunities across all teams.
  • Policy & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date and legally compliant HR policies and procedures. Ensure organizational adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws while fostering fairness and transparency.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and employee satisfaction. Continuously assess and enhance total rewards offerings to remain competitive and aligned with employee needs.

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience with lots of heart).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ in a leadership.
  • You’ve been there, done that with employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, and payroll and benefits (Paylocity experience = gold star ).
  • You’re a wizard with employment law, never forgetting the human behind the handbook.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in ABA, healthcare, or multi-site environments.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Mission-driven work with a team that truly cares about people—clients and staff.
  • An environment where new ideas are encouraged, and growth is constant.
  • Plenty of opportunities to make a real impact and shape the future of our workplace.
  • Oh, and we like to have a little fun, too.

What You'll Receive:

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with a compensation range of $85,000 – $92,000, commensurate with experience.

We offer a robust and thoughtful total rewards package that includes:

  • 8% Shared Success Bonus Plan
  • Annual Performance-Based Increases
  • Up to 30 days of paid time off (including company holidays, sick leave, paid leave, vacation, wellness, and floating holidays)

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
