Your Opportunity
Scion is paving a path in student living and we’re seeking a talented Legal Technology Coordinator to join us in executing our vision. This position will coordinate the development and implementation of technology solutions within the Scion Legal Department to leverage scale, gain efficiency, streamline processes and accelerate workflows.
The Legal Technology Coordinator will be an essential member of the company’s legal team, building solutions to empower the attorneys, paralegals and insurance claims specialists on the team, and will serve as a liaison between the Legal Department and Scion’s Information Technology team, identifying opportunities for and coordinating the implementation of technology such as artificial intelligence to assist the legal team in serving internal clients promptly and efficiently. This role demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, basic familiarity with legal processes and expertise in the structuring and implementation of information technology solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify Legal Department processes that can be simplified, streamlined or made more efficient by the application of information technology solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Scion’s IT department to create and implement new applications and processes.
- Help train Legal Department staff (and other personnel, as applicable) in the adoption and use of new technology.
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Legal Affairs and/or by the General Counsel.

What We Require
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience with process automation tools, such as Power Automate or ChatGPT
- A customer service orientation is essential.
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with complex business concepts and/or a legal support environment is preferred.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs and comfortable operating in (or capable of learning) property management systems.
Operational Details
- Job location is based at Scion’s Chicago corporate headquarters.
- Working hours consist of standard daytime business hours.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $55,000-$60,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
