We are seeking a Marketing Data Science Intern to join our rapidly growing global workforce in Chicago. This position is tasked with establishing a reporting framework for our worldwide marketing and sales activities. You will guide growth in underserved areas such as building a reporting and visualization suite along with delivering insights on acquisition efforts. This role is based in our Chicago office and reports to the Head of Data Science.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure the impact of our various sales channels and marketing campaigns, and how they interact with each other
  • Assist in model development to harness large data sets to improve flexibility in automated marketing decision making
  • Help with the development of modeling algorithms to analyze the customer, market, and trading data signals to influence marketing decision making
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of dashboards and visualizations that inform both tactical and strategic decision making
  • Assist in developing and implementing machine learning models for customer segmentation, churn prediction, lead scoring, and campaign targeting
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Deliver well-documented datasets, tools, and reports to key technical and business team members
  • Help standardize the ThinkMarkets analytics approach for version controls, code sharing and improving operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of analytics platforms, Excel, Tableau or other BI visualization software
  • Experience with SQL and Python (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-Learn) for data manipulations, data aggregations, and statistical analysis
  • Experience with data cleansing, from data preparation to analysis and deployment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with marketing platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Previous experience with marketing data analysis or internships in a related field
