Meet The Team:
As a Manager of Business Intelligence in the Operational Support team, you will play a crucial role in bringing together technical and business aspects of Torc’s Operational strategy, ensuring the seamless launch and scaling of autonomous trucks into the market. Leveraging your extensive research abilities, analytical skills, customer focus, and strategic mindset, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful initiatives and solve complex challenges. This position offers a chance to influence decision-making at the highest levels and contribute to Torc's leading position in the autonomous vehicle industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Analysis and Problem Solving: Conduct rigorous data analysis, market research, and competitive assessments to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities. Synthesize insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop Models: Using data to inform understanding, develop and verify complex business models to be used to advise strategic business decisions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, understanding their needs, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholder to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, and provide strategic recommendations to address key business issues.
- Project Management: Lead and manage project workstreams, ensuring timely and effective delivery of high-quality work. Develop and implement strategic frameworks, methodologies, and processes to analyze complex business problems and identify potential solutions.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior strategists and analysts, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Provide feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
- Communication and Presentation: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and reports to senior leadership, executives, critical stakeholders, and investors, effectively communicating strategic recommendations and insights.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the company’s knowledge base by developing new tools, methodologies, and best practices. Stay current with industry trends and thought leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Experience motivating and inspiring a team environment with an open communication culture. Act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Suggest and organize team building activities.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in working with databases, business analytics, and large-scale data systems.
- Analytical thinking with a data-driven approach to problem solving and the ability to extract value from data and connect insights to business outcomes.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced/rapidly changing environment, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Set clear team goals according to routine work assignments, delegate tasks and set deadlines. Monitor team performance and report on metrics for management recognition. Clarify metrics and measurable goals to identify work, clarify urgency and importance, follow-up and verify solutions/results, measure success, review for continuous improvement and effective time management. Identify, assign time and resources to work tasks/projects that need to be redefined, deferred, and/or shifted to another employee for balanced workloads.
- Occasionally oversee employees’ daily interactions with customers to ensure the highest level of satisfaction to company goals and initiatives. Provide constructive feedback. Report any issues of concern to managers.
- Recognize learning needs, research, and collect resources, and provide coaching to maximize team goals and individual employee potential. Listen to team members’ feedback, assess for manager resources and/or mediation, and resolve routine issues.
- Provide motivation and recognition. Empower team members to improve their confidence, product knowledge, efficiency, and professional communication skills.
- Celebrate individual and team accomplishments.
- Routinely monitor the workspace to review for safety, cleanliness, sanitation, supplies, etc. Report any issues immediately for improvement.
- Work on projects and reports as needed.

US Pay Range
$120,100 - $144,100 USD
