YOUR MISSION

As a People Business Partner (Engineering) at True Anomaly, you will support engineering and security leaders and teams by helping execute people strategies that enable high performing, engaged, and growing organizations. In close partnership with the Senior People Business Partner (PBP, Engineering), you will focus on operational excellence, leader enablement, employee experience, and the delivery of core people programs that support business objectives.

This role is ideal for someone eager to grow as a People Business Partner, deepen their understanding of engineering organizations, and build strong foundational skills in people partnership, coaching, and program execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with the Senior People Business Partner (Engineering) to support engineering and security leaders in executing people strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with engineering and security managers and team members through day-to-day partnership and responsiveness.
  • Support compensation cycles for engineering teams by preparing and reviewing compensation data, applying performance/role/location considerations, and escalating questions as needed.

  • Provide guidance to managers on core people processes including onboarding, performance reviews, goal setting, and career development.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine people questions from engineering teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policies and Support employee relations matter under the guidance of the Senior PBP.
  • Execute and support people programs across the engineering organization (performance cycles, engagement surveys, talent reviews); partner with People Operations and People Programs to build and roll out tools, processes, and initiatives.
  • Support L&D by developing and hosting trainings with relevant teams, and track action items, timelines, and follow-through for people initiatives and leader commitments.
  • Assist with gathering, analyzing, and summarizing people data (engagement results, attrition trends, performance insights), translate findings into practical insights and recommendations for leaders in partnership with the Senior HRBP, and contribute to continuous improvement of people processes, documentation, and manager resources.
  • Help reinforce and activate True Anomaly’s values — Be The Offset, What Would It Take, It’s The People — through everyday behaviors, manager support, and program execution.

Near Term Projects You Will Lead in the next 6 months

  • Learn the engineering and security organization, roles, and operating model to effectively support managers and teams.
  • Support execution of performance reviews, engagement surveys, and talent planning activities for engineering and security.
  • Partner with the Senior PBP to support workforce planning and organizational changes as engineering scales.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, HR certification, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a People Business Partner or a Human Resources adjacent role.
  • Experience supporting managers and employees in core HR processes such as performance management, employee relations, and career development.
  • Working knowledge of compensation fundamentals, including compa-ratio, performance-based compensation, role and location-based pay, and the ability to apply these concepts in manager-facing conversations.
  • Interest in and exposure to supporting engineering, technology, or technical teams (direct experience preferred but not required).
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and compliance fundamentals.
  • Experience using or supporting HR tools such as engagement surveys, performance management platforms, or HRIS systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details.
  • Curiosity, growth mindset, and eagerness to learn how people strategies connect to business outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with employees and managers.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with guidance and partnership.
  • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Interest in AI, technology, and continuous learning.

 

COMPENSATION:

  • Base Salary: $90,000-$125,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education and experience.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
  • Work Location: hybrid (3 days) this role will be based out of our GravityWorks factory in Centennial, CO
  • Travel: Occasional travel to Colorado Springs and Long Beach.
  • Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
