Senior Manager, Demand Planning

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager of Demand Planning to support True Classic’s planning and inventory team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal product availability, managing inventory effectively, and driving innovative solutions in forecasting and allocation to support the company’s financial goals, enhance the operational efficiency, and improve overall inventory. 

All of True Classic's roles are global and omni-channel, leading designated areas of accountability across all product categories, countries, and different sales & marketing channels. Key Areas of Accountability

Demand Planning Process Development:

  • Design and implement a scalable demand planning framework, including tools, templates, and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain statistical models and forecasting techniques to improve demand accuracy.
  • Ensure demand forecasts incorporate market trends, historical data, and business inputs.

S&OP Implementation and Management:

  • Lead the creation and establishment of a company-wide S&OP process.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, and finance to drive alignment on forecasts, capacity, and inventory planning.
  • Facilitate regular S&OP meetings, ensuring clear communication of demand-supply gaps and actionable outcomes.

Demand Forecasting: 

  • Manage in-season forecasting to meet or exceed key performance indicators, including sales, margins, and inventory health, balances, age/turns, and weeks of supply.
  • Ensure forecasting objectives are achieved, review potential risks/opportunities between the demand plan and financial plan, and collaborate cross functionally to mitigate and reduce inventory risk

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and sell-through data to identify potential stockouts, overstock situations, and slow-moving items.
  • Monitor and adjust safety stock levels as needed to ensure adequate inventory availability.
  • Review sales forecasts and current orders to assess inventory status and upcoming production needs
  • Recommend pack changes (color switch outs, reduction of pack size, etc.) based on inventory levels and sales velocity.
  • Recommend price action based on WOH/sell-thru and seasonality.
  • Manage assigned projects and execution and ensure a high degree of accuracy and quality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the inventory management process.
  • Assist in onboarding and implementation of new planning/reporting tools.

Inventory Management: 

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels daily to ensure optimal stock availability. 
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy. Responsible for the weekly replenishment and allocation support.

Purchase Order Management & Allocation

  • Provide reporting for weekly, monthly and seasonal insights and leverage analysis to recommend strategies / enact action plans with channel owner counterparts. 
  • Monthly Review: Conduct monthly OTB reviews and adjust inventory strategies to fuel timely investments and support key programs.  Maintain daily communication with vendors to confirm and track purchase orders, and communicate revisions.

Replenishment Management: 

  • Oversee inventory management across channels.  
  • Optimize stock levels and develop/maintain replenishment strategies to balance sales goals with inventory costs. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Merchandising: Collaborate on aligning inventory with product launches and seasonal trends. Ensure product availability meets merchandising strategies and promotional plans. Support development of MD cadence. 
  • Production and Sourcing: Work closely to coordinate inventory with production schedules and sourcing strategies. Optimize supply chain efficiency and address any sourcing issues impacting inventory levels. Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production
  • Finance: Partner on inventory budgeting and financial planning to manage costs and meet financial targets. Align inventory investment with financial goals and performance metrics.
  • Operations and Logistics: Coordinate to ensure efficient inventory flow and fulfillment processes. Assign inventory levels with operational capabilities and optimize warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Business Intelligence: Utilize BI tools to analyze data and inform forecasting and allocation decisions. Develop insights and recommendations based on performance metrics and trends.
  • Tech: Collaborate with IT to implement and refine technology solutions for forecasting and inventory management. Support the development and deployment of tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency. 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must have at least 6+years of experience in demand planning.
  • Apparel experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in building or transforming S&OP processes within a fast-paced organization.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing large-scale businesses to achieve financial targets.
  • Strong knowledge of demand forecasting methods, statistical analysis, and inventory management principles.

Work Environment: 

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home or any location with reliable internet access within the United States. You will spend extended periods at a computer, so a comfortable and ergonomic workspace is essential. We provide the necessary tools and support to ensure a productive and collaborative virtual work experience. Additionally, the company holds quarterly all-hands meetings in California, which you would be expected to travel to and attend in person.

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • $125,000 - $140,000
