 Our marketing team is looking for a Vice President of Product Marketing to drive product marketing, , and strategic partner programs to enable high growth and scale, while building a team of high performing product marketers. This role will focus on value proposition creation, positioning, messaging, competitive and market intelligence, segmentation, and leading other product marketing activities for Truveta. This role will also create and manage a strategic partner program for analytic services to accelerate and scale growth for Truveta Data.   

The best person for this role has deep understanding of life sciences and Saas / technology domains; has proven capability in strategic messaging development, sales enablement, partner program creation and is energized by working in a dynamic, high growth environment. 

This Opportunity 

The vice president of product marketing will partner closely with several teams within Truveta including partner (sales), product management, communications, and marketing to help achieve our growth ambitions. Efforts will focus on developing and honing clear differentiation against competition, use cases, and value propositions that strongly resonate with pharmaceutical, medical device, government, and academic research organizations. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Develop value proposition for Truveta products and services, connecting with distinct audiences and establishing compelling competitive differentiation 
  • Develop and execute product positioning for new offerings and product features   
  • Develop deep understanding of the market, competition, and ecosystem to inform the company’s efforts and make key contributions to business strategy     
  • Own an effective and compelling sales enablement program for our partner team across segments, including leading a team to create critical enablement assets (i.e. pitch decks, FAQs, objection handling, one-pagers etc.) and sales training programs 
  • Communicate expectations, plans, and results with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders with confidence and clarity   
  • Build a world class product marketing team   

Key Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of experience in the product marketing discipline, with a background in life sciences and technology, ideally focused on SaaS / subscription businesses with recurring revenue    
  • Strong problem-structuring and analytical skills, with deep understanding of life sciences market conditions, customer needs and competitive offerings desired 
  • Proven experience in creating world-class positioning and messaging frameworks, mapped to business goals       
  • Experience creating and executing partner programs   
  • Excellent team builder and enthusiastic leader of a growing team focused on impact to drive business goals   
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams with excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills required     
  • Ability to influence and be a team player that rolls up your sleeves 
  • Must embrace and respect the critical nature of protecting the Truveta brand   
  • Strong communicator, creative thinker, and nimble executor    
  • Great collaborator and ability to adopt new technologies quickly

Truveta was born in the Pacific Northwest, but we have employees who live across the country. Our team enjoys the flexibility of a hybrid model and working from anywhere.  In person attendance is required for one week during the year for Truveta Planning Week. 

For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time.

  • The base pay for this position is $290,000 to $325,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
