Head of Executive (CEO) Communications
Responsibilities
- We are looking for an experienced and talented CEO/Executive Communications leader to join our team and help us deliver impactful and engaging communications
- You will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that support our CEO, including both internal and external communications, as well as social media presence
- In addition, this person will oversee executive thought leadership and support the development of content for certain members of the leadership team
- You will work closely with the executives, chief of staff, and other stakeholders to craft compelling messages, stories and content that showcase our vision, values and achievements
- You will also manage the logistics and coordination of executive communications activities and ensure consistency and quality across all channels and platforms
- Develop and implement CEO communications plans that align with our business goals, brand identity and corporate culture
- Drive a coordinated executive thought leadership program that will support the communication goals for the organization
- Act as a strategic advisor to executives, building strong relationships and understanding their communication needs, preferences and styles
- Write, edit and proofread speeches, presentations, scripts, talking points, op-eds, articles, blogs, social media posts and other content for the CEO and select other senior executives
- Research and identify relevant topics, trends, insights and best practices for executive communications
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, such as Brand Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Social Media and our Events team to ensure effective and integrated communication campaigns
- Manage the scheduling, logistics and coordination of executive communications activities, such as conferences and internal events and bi-weekly all-hands meetings
- Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of executive communications and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
- Provide coaching and guidance to our senior executives on communication best practices, techniques and skills
- Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in executive communications and social media
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in CEO communications, executive communications, corporate communications, or related roles
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages and tone for different audiences, channels and formats
- Experience working with senior executives and C-level leaders, and understanding their communication needs and styles
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute communication strategies that support business objectives and executive priorities
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of creativity and innovation, with the ability to generate and implement new and original ideas for executive communications
- Experience in working with media, public relations, marketing, design, events, and other communication partners and stakeholders
- Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in executive communications and social media
