Sr Account Manager, DNA Synthesis - S Korea

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and customer expansion within an assigned territory for Twist Bioscience’s Synbio products. This role focuses on strategic account ownership, complex opportunity management, and high-quality execution, while maintaining strong alignment with regional and global commercial objectives.

The Senior Account Manager is accountable for delivering reliable revenue performance and accurate forecasting, enabling leadership to monitor business health and make informed decisions. This role also contributes to competitive awareness and product improvement by proactively gathering customer insights and market intelligence.

Key responsibilities include:

    • Achieve and consistently deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets for the assigned territory.
    • Provide accurate, timely, and disciplined forecasts, proactively identifying risks and mitigation plans.
    • Manage and grow key customer relationships across hospitals, academic institutions, and commercial organizations.
    • Lead complex sales opportunities, including large-volume, custom, or long-term engagements.
    • Support the development and execution of supply and commercial agreements for new and existing customers.
    • Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and internal teams to minimize time to revenue and improve customer experience.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, sharing relevant insights and customer feedback internally.
    • Collect and communicate customer needs, challenges, and product feedback to support product and process improvement.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (Salesforce.com).
    • Represent Twist Bioscience at industry meetings, conferences, and trade shows as appropriate.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory, quality, and ISO 13485 requirements.
    • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, or informal leadership to team members when required.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
    • 7–10+ years of sales experience in the life sciences industry, with demonstrated success selling to:
        • Hospitals and clinical institutions / Academic and research institutions / Commercial organizations, including biotech, pharma, chemical, or AgBio companies
    • Experience managing complex, custom, or solution-based sales cycles.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage large and strategic accounts across multiple stakeholder groups.
    • Experience leading, coaching, or managing junior team members, either formally or informally.
    • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com and disciplined sales process execution.
    • Solid understanding of synthetic biology or gene synthesis markets preferred.

EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Biology or a related field required.
    • Advanced degree a plus.
