Schedule: On site

Títle: Customer Support Specialist ll

Location: Ciudad de Mexico

Req #: 2756

About the Role
We are looking for an Intermodal Operations Specialist based in Mexico City to manage end-to-end
freight execution for North American shipments. This is an operations-first role for someone who
lives and breathes logistics — someone who knows the difference between a dray move and a 53-
foot domestic container, understands cross-border customs requirements, and can keep multiple
active shipments moving without losing track of any of them. You will work closely with US-based
customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure every load moves on time and every
system record stays accurate.

Important: This is not a customer service role — it's a freight operations role with a strong
customer-facing component. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in intermodal or
multimodal logistics, not general customer support.

What You will Do

• Execute full-cycle shipment operations: booking, dispatch, tracking, cross-border coordination,
and delivery confirmation for import and export intermodal movements.
• Coordinate intermodal-specific activities including rail and drayage handoffs, container
management, port or ramp scheduling, and equipment availability monitoring.
• Manage customs documentation and border crossing requirements for cross-border
shipments between Mexico and the US.
• Ensure all shipment data, milestones, and references are entered accurately and on time in
Uber Freight TMS/systems — data integrity is non-negotiable.
• Communicate proactively with US-based customers about shipment status, exceptions, and
resolutions — including delays, capacity issues, or documentation requests.
• Review weekly operational reports (e.g. High/Low Net Revenue) and contribute insights to the
team operational highlights and improvement initiatives.
• Support the onboarding and day-to-day coaching of interns or new team members on
execution processes and best practices.

Basic Qualifications
• 2–5 years of experience in freight operations, logistics coordination, or supply chain
execution — specifically in intermodal, multimodal, or cross-border environments. General
customer service experience alone does not qualify.
• Hands-on knowledge of intermodal logistics: rail movements, drayage, container types,
port/ramp operations, and related terminology and processes.
• Familiarity with cross-border customs requirements and documentation for Mexico–US freight
(pedimentos, carta porte, commercial invoices, etc.).
• Experience working with a TMS or freight management system — accurate and timely data
entry is a core part of this job.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) — you will communicate daily with
US-based customers and carriers.

• Ability to manage multiple active shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment without losing visibility or accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in 4PL, freight forwarding, or broker operations — especially with North American
lanes (MX–US).
• Familiarity with US domestic intermodal networks (BNSF, UP, NS, CSX) and Mexican rail
operators (Ferromex, KCSM/FXE).
• Experience with capacity management, carrier negotiation, or exception handling under tight
SLAs.
• Comfortable working with data and reporting tools to identify trends, flag exceptions, and
propose process improvements.
