Corporate Alliance Account Manager
UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

Purpose of the Position:
The Account Manager collaborates closely with Recruiters to ensure successful placement of eligible graduates in roles within our Corporate Alliance employers. Their primary focus is on fostering strong employer partnerships and facilitating employer hiring of graduates.
What you’ll do:
- Corporate Account Management: Collaborate with Corporate Alliance leaders to create a business plan to develop employer relationships geared to improving placement outcomes with corporate partners.
- Foster Communication: Develop meaningful relationships with key hiring and onboarding personnel at corporate partners. Meet with national accounts representatives regularly and develop expertise on partner hiring practices.
- Eligibility Review: Screen candidates submitted by recruiters for specific opportunities to ensure the best possible match for employer and graduate candidate. Provide actionable feedback to recruiters when there is not a match and facilitate eligible candidates through the hiring process.
- Process Adherence: Ensure that all employer-required interview and pre-hire steps are followed and foster two-way communication regarding candidate progress and work to resolve communication challenges and concerns related to the hiring process.
- Account Promotion and Development: Serve as an advocate for employer partner opportunities presenting them to the teams for fulfillment. Motivate recruiters to work towards adherence with process and fulfillment for open positions. Attend in-person and virtual functions with current and future employer partners as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in corporate account management.
- Skills – relationship management, interpersonal communication, time management/prioritization, business acumen, and professionalism.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in corporate account management.
- Strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills or abilities – negotiation skills, analytical abilities, customer relationship management software, and influence.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a full-time remote position with occasional onsite travel required.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation Range
$62,000 - $67,000 USD
