Purpose of the Position:
The Director of People Systems & Analytics will oversee strategy related to people technology and data analytics. The role will define and develop the organization’s people systems and analytics strategy, translate HR data into actionable insights, promote self-service environments, and develop reports and dashboards that visually display the performance of the organization’s people goals.
What you’ll do:
- Develop People Technology Strategy: Define and lead the organization’s people systems strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and team member experience priorities. Lead selection, implementation, and maintenance of current Human Capital Management (“HCM”) solutions, integrating processes across the People Team, Payroll, and related areas. Develop a multi-year roadmap for core people systems, proposing solutions as needed to support organizational growth and integration with related technologies across IT, Finance and People teams.
- Optimize & Scale Solutions: Drive optimization, automation, and simplification of people processes to enable scalability and enhance team member and leader self-service. Ensure accurate and timely entry of people data, and lead support of self-service data solutions. Propel transition from transactional reporting to predictive analytics, as appropriate, and develop and maintain self-service reporting solutions and dashboards, using PowerBI or related tools, ensuring data accuracy and privacy.
- Deliver Analytics Solutions and Guidance: Partner with People Business Partners, People Team, Legal, and other departments, as necessary, to ensure that reporting solutions and insights, analytical tools and dashboards deliver actionable and accurate data to end users. Partner with Learning & Development to support technical and data literacy across stakeholder groups.
- Provide Data Stewardship & Governance: Ensure data integrity, governance, and security practices across people systems and analytics. Support data needs for reporting, compliance and workforce planning.
- Integrate Responsible AI Tools: Evaluate and establish framework and standards that enable implementation of ethical AI-powered tools to enhance people programs, including talent acquisition, team member support, workforce planning, and analytics.
- Champion Innovation & Experimentation: Collaborate across teams (e.g., IT, Business Intelligence (“BI”), Legal, etc.) to test and pilot AI applications that improve operational efficiency and enhance the team member experience, while maintaining trust and transparency. Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- Manage People Technology Projects: Direct portfolio of systems and analytics initiatives from initiation to launch. Manage project intake and consult with cross-functional stakeholders to establish and prioritize projects against the roadmap.
- Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or information technology–related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience in HR technology, data analytics, or a related area of work.
- Statistical analysis: strong understanding of statistical models and methods, and their application in data analysis.
- Data visualization: expertise in tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc., to create compelling dashboards and data visuals.
- Ability to manage projects, timelines, and resources.
- Ability to gather stakeholder requirements and present findings clearly to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Advanced degree, in human resources, information technology, or related field.
- Strong/advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and carefully follow all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a remote position.
- Home office setup, quiet place to work and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment, accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation Range
$130,800 - $150,000 USD
