Project Scheduler

Due to continued growth and expansion we are seeking a motivated Project Scheduler to join our expanding team and grow with us. This position will be based in the company’s offices in Mahon, Cork and is a permanent role.


We require an experienced professional ideally from the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

  • Collaborating with senior professionals to enhance your skills in planning and scheduling
  • Developing and maintaining Project Schedules for multidiscipline design projects from concept through to facility delivery.
  • Integrating supplier/contractor program and schedules into Master Project Program
  • Planning, developing and maintaining Master Schedule and Resource Plans
  • Critical path identification and management. Proactive reporting on critical and near-critical tasks
  • Highlighting and actioning any corrective actions required to maintain project schedule
  • Reporting relevant data and information to the design team and client
  • Tracking and reporting project schedule changes and related documentation
  • Collaborating with Supplier/Contractors and Project Planners to ensure adherence to overall Master Project Plan
  • Leading internal and external schedule reviews and risk assessments
  • Conducting PERT, Earned Value and Progress Measure reports to support the overall project controls function / project delivery
  • Mentoring a junior member of the scheduling team

 

Experience & Skills

The individual we are seeking will possess the following:

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering or associated area.
  • Experience in general project planning and control experience
  • Advanced skill level in MS Project and Primavera P6 (analysis of Baselines, Predecessors / Successors, Dependencies, Critical path, Earned value, Lag, Float, Constraints, S Curves etc)
  • Proven application of various planning methodologies used on Facility Construction and Process Equipment development and integration projects
  • Experience of working in professional service company
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
