Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Overview
US Conec is seeking a hands-on 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of our molding and assembly equipment. In this role, you’ll assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly. You’ll work closely with the Maintenance Mechanic and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, document repairs, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This is an off-shift position occurring between 7:00pm–3:30am or 6:00pm–2:30am.
Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and troubleshoot molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and assembly equipment
- Diagnose malfunctions using appropriate test equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on injection molding and assembly equipment
- Document repairs using the Maintenance Work Order System
- Participate in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives
- Perform general equipment maintenance and housekeeping in maintenance areas
- Maintain compressed air systems and machine water towers
- Support team coverage for maintenance responsibilities across off-shifts (24-hour on-call)
- Respond to emergency issues affecting production or facility operations after hours
- Perform electrical work using proper Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
- Order repair components and supplies as needed
- Maintain organized inventory of components (physical and electronic)
- Participate in weekly safety meetings with the maintenance team
- Operate forklift as needed
- Perform other routine duties related to molding machinery and departmental support
Must Haves
- One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months of related experience/training
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to changes
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
