Production Process Engineering Manager – Injection Molding (Precision Components)
Overview
US Conec is seeking an experienced and strategic Production Process Engineering Manager to lead our injection molding operations in Fort Worth, TX. This role is central to developing, optimizing, and sustaining high-performance molding processes that support precision manufacturing and continuous improvement. You’ll manage a team of engineers and technicians across three shifts, collaborating cross-functionally to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of up to 12 engineers and technicians across multiple shifts
- Develop and implement injection molding processes using scientific molding principles
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Tooling, and Maintenance teams to align priorities and resolve technical challenges
- Oversee setup and optimization of molding equipment including sprue pickers, robots, mold controllers, and containment systems
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and cost-effectiveness
- Establish and maintain rigorous process documentation and control systems for high-volume production
- Partner with the Director of Engineering on hiring, training, performance reviews, and succession planning
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field
- Proven experience leading technical teams in a production manufacturing environment
- Expertise in controlled molding processes, engineering-grade resins, and traceability systems
- Strong understanding of scientific molding, decoupled molding, and process validation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information
Nice to Haves
- AIM (American Injection Molding Institute) certification
- Experience with Moldex3D or other molding simulation software
- Deep knowledge of auxiliary equipment including thermolators, hot manifold systems, ceramic heater bands, and dew-point meters
