Valon’s Compliance team is a growing, fast-paced team with a goal of building a mortgage servicing platform that both empowers mortgage servicing and MLOs to focus on providing exceptional services and also delivers a phenomenally transparent product experience to homeowners. As a Lending Compliance Analyst at Valon, you will own the compliance support functions for Valon’s Lending business area.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Lending Compliance Analyst to join our Legal, Risk, and Compliance team. In this role, you'll work closely with our business partners in Lending to drive the compliance functions of the lending operations, including disclosure reviews and testing, ECOA monitoring, interest rate lock reconciliation, Encompass billing scrub, Adverse Action reviews, change management review, MLO QA, FHA Connection administration, and VALERI administration. Responsibilities
- Own and become the lending expert of TRID disclosure timelines
- Understand and assist MLOs on fee analysis
- Monitor for ECOA compliance
- Review and reconcile interest rate locks
- Perform Encompass billing reconciliations
- Review and manage Adverse Action second level reviews
- Monitor and test the lending change management process
- Perform targeted compliance testing as needed
- Assist regulatory submissions of HMDA data and NMLS Call Reports
- Assist with state required reporting as needed
Ideal Background
- To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 3+ years of Encompass experience
- Experience with the Vesta LOS preferred, but not required
- Understand MCR and HMDA submission
- Have a working knowledge of TRID disclosure timelines
- You can own the administrator role for FHA Connection and VA’s VALERI systems

New York Base Compensation Pay Range
$72,000 - $95,000 USD
