Business Systems Engineer / IS Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Programming in C#.NET
- Migrating Microsoft Access applications to SQL Server
- Utilizing relational database concepts and best practices using SQL Server: Designing tables and relationships, Strategic primary/foreign key utilization, Advanced queries joining many tables, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL Agent Jobs, Extended Events, etc.
- Producing efficient code in a timely manner based on requirements
- Documenting operation systems solutions and code per client guidelines
- Testing and deploying programs and applications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
- Compiling and assessing feedback to improve software performance
- Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- 3+ years of C# programming, .NET, Snowflake/SQL Server experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access, VBA, Excel
- Strong understanding of Power BI/Power Query/Veeva/SAP/LIMS systems preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Proven attention to detail and organization in project work
- Capable of working on assigned tasks without supervision
- Ability to communicate complex, technical concepts in simple, concise oral conversation and written documentation
- Ability to produce efficient and well-documented code based on requirements
- Exposure to FDA/GMP regulated environments
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be willing to be on-site, full-time, in Kalamazoo, MI

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
