As a Federal Recruiter, you will be reporting to the Federal People & Talent Manager. Our Talent Acquisition team at Virtru partners with leaders across the organization to build and scale teams that deliver secure data protection solutions for federal agencies and partners. This role is critical in helping us expand our federal workforce by identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent that meets the unique requirements of federal programs and compliance standards.
As a Federal Recruiter, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing full-cycle recruiting for federal positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Building strong candidate pipelines through networking, outreach, and creative sourcing strategies specific to federal roles.
- Partnering with hiring managers and HR to ensure compliance with federal hiring regulations, security clearance requirements, and best practices.
- Attend local hiring fairs to engage with the talent market.
Skills that will help you thrive in this role:
- Proven experience recruiting for federal contracts, cleared positions, or roles requiring security clearance eligibility.
- Proven experience recruiting for mid to senior level technical positions with knowledge of current technology landscape (programming languages, frameworks, tools) as well as technical role comprehension (can differentiate between roles like DevOps, Full Stack, Data Engineer, etc.)
- Ability to assess technical skills and connect complex job requirements to appropriate candidate profiles.
- Strong relationship management skills with hiring managers and candidates alike, balancing speed with quality.
- Knowledge of federal hiring practices, compliance requirements, and clearance processes.
- Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates while managing multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and federal recruiting tools.
- Established network of federal talent pools and industry contacts.
