Why this role matters
As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer on the Platform Engineering Team, you'll help build and manage Kubernetes-based internal platforms that power our production APIs. Your work will streamline developer workflows, reduce manual toil, and support high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency all through modern GitOps practices. You'll collaborate with a skilled, cross-functional team to solve real engineering challenges and deliver impactful solutions.

What you'll do
In this position you’ll actively seek out ways to contribute and bring new ideas. You will have the opportunity to extensively utilize open source projects/software, often focusing on developing the 'glue' that integrates systems and enhancing their feature sets. Bringing a sense of vision and contributing to the requirements is expected and encouraged.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and software development.
- Strong coding skills in languages like Python, Go, Shell Script, or Ruby.
- Proven experience automating Kubernetes infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Crossplane.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on AWS and/or GCP with multi-cloud integration.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud SDKs (AWS/GCP) to build self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux internals, networking, and large-scale cloud-native platforms.
- Familiarity with K8s managed services (EKS/GKE) and tools like Argo, Helm, Ansible, and the CNCF ecosystem.
What's required for application
- Expertise in building platform tooling in Kubernetes, developing architecture patterns and templates for application runtimes, K8s cluster topology, traffic shaping, API, CI/CD, and observability stacks on AWS or GCP cloud.
- Familiarity with the CNCF tooling across the ecosystem
- Focus iteratively on a FinOps strategy to improve utilization and lower costs
- Exposure to any observability platforms using open-source tools like VictoriaMetrics, Thanos, Cortex, Prometheus, Datalog and Grafana
- Upstream contribution in open source project.
