Why this role Matters:

As a key member of the IT Engineering team, you will be designing, developing and maintaining  Corporate infrastructure, technologies and solutions, used by the globally distributed Vonage workforce. An ideal candidate for this role is an individual that has a diverse and deep technical background in Microsoft infrastructure. This includes building, enhancing and maintaining Windows server, Active Directory and related infrastructure and services in AWS and Azure, Microsoft 365, and integration with other IT systems and applications.


What you will do:

  • Administer and maintain Azure cloud services (Entra ID, M365, Teams) and AWS-hosted Microsoft infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, VDI, FSx, PKI).
  • Configure and manage DNS, mail routing, and security policies, including compliance rules, aliases, and complex addressing.
  • Implement and support automation and IaC using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines with DR/BC considerations.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure health and performance using Windows logs, AWS CloudWatch, Elasticsearch/Kibana.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design docs, run books, and production change records.
  • Provide tiered support for provisioning, access, troubleshooting, and incident response; perform root cause analysis and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in 24x7 support rotation and ensure system reliability, availability, and security.

What you will bring:

  • Strong ability to listen, communicate, evaluate, and problem-solve effectively in a multitasking team environment.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Cloud (Entra ID, M365, Teams, Exchange Online, Purview, Defender) including security, compliance, data protection, labeling, and conditional access; certified or equivalent in Azure Administration and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience in setting up tenants from scratch or migrating services to Azure and M365.
  • Skilled in AWS infrastructure (IAM, EC2, VPC, Route53, RDS, S3, FSx, Workspaces) with hands-on expertise in CloudFormation, Terraform, and IaaC automation; AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent.
  • Deep background in Windows Server and Active Directory administration (setup, patching, SCCM, PKI, GPOs, file shares, identity/security), including on-prem to cloud migrations; certified in Windows Server Administration.
  • Proficient in automation and scripting (PowerShell for M365/Exchange, plus Python/Ruby/Go/Perl), and experienced with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse, and GitHub.
  • Strong track record in email systems and mail flow troubleshooting (logs, delivery analysis, routing rules, compliance policies, aliases), system monitoring, incident response, and technical documentation.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Windows and Microsoft 365 administration, 5+ years in Azure/Purview, 3+ years in AWS, supported by relevant certifications and advanced expertise in infrastructure, automation, and cloud security.
