Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a talented and passionate Senior Data Engineer to join Wildlife's Marketing Tech team in São Paulo, Brazil. 

Wildlife is one of the largest gaming companies in the world. Besides building amazing games, part of the reason it has been super successful has been its ability to acquire new users more efficiently than other companies. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in our Performance Marketing operations by handling data from millions of users, thousands of campaigns, and dozens of different channels, helping us to solve our most challenging quests. Some of them are:

  • Evolve integrations with several third-party APIs including Ad Networks, MMPs, and other data providers;
  • Attribute the users to the marketing campaigns that drove their financial impact;
  • Estimate the lifetime value of our users to measure the long-term return on our Marketing investments;
  • Build the capabilities to run experiments to continuously improve the performance of our creative assets and our Marketing operations;
  • Support the decision-making of our Marketing operations through high-quality data products and well-structured dashboards.

  • Solve complex and open-ended problems that directly impact one of the most critical areas of the company;
  • Help to evolve and improve the performance of our current solutions and build new data products and systems;
  • Be part of a cross-functional team, directly contributing end-to-end to our processes, making sure our products are in production and working properly (final impact);
  • Work in a challenging and fun environment to produce exceptional results.

What you'll need

  • Experience working on designing and developing data-intensive applications in the cloud with technologies such as Spark, SQL, Python, Airflow, etc
  • Excellent high-level communication skills
  • Proficiency in written English

Main Challenges

  • The team is responsible for designing, building, and evolving a big set of complex data-intensive applications including batch data apps, near real-time data ingestion, ML models, and BI pipelines
  • These applications also require the team to build, maintain, and evolve integrations with several third-party APIs including Ad Networks, MMPs, and other data providers used in Digital Marketing
  • We have a multidisciplinary environment and you will interact with people from diverse backgrounds, including Game Engineers, Backend Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Marketing Managers.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will help the team to ensure high availability, reliability, robustness, performance, cost-effectiveness, and maintainability of the developed solutions
