Customer Marketing Lead
As a Customer Marketing lead at Workshop, you’ll play a key role in driving engagement, product adoption, revenue opportunities, and brand loyalty through creative, data-driven marketing initiatives. Working closely with our product, sales, and customer success teams, you’ll use marketing strategies like email campaigns, content, and events to support and connect with Workshop’s customers at every stage of their journey. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences through targeted marketing. (And if you don’t specifically have customer marketing experience, that’s okay!)
In this role, you’ll be specifically responsible for executing campaigns that empower our customers to get the most out of Workshop, focusing on expanding product usage, driving advocacy, and building a strong network of satisfied users. You’ll also use your marketing expertise to create impactful campaigns and materials that directly contribute to our growth by enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
As our Customer Marketing Lead, you will:
- Execute multi-channel customer marketing campaigns focused on product adoption, retention, and expansion, using email, content, and in-app messaging to provide valuable insights and support for customers.
- Develop engaging content and educational resources that highlight Workshop’s features and benefits, such as newsletters, tutorials, and best-practice guides, making sure customers feel supported and informed.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance metrics such as engagement rates, adoption metrics, opportunities, customer pipeline, and customer feedback, using insights to improve and optimize future initiatives.
- Plan and run customer-focused events and webinars that demonstrate product value, share success stories, and connect customers with the broader Workshop community.
- Build and maintain customer advocacy initiatives, gathering testimonials, reviews, and case studies from customers who can share their success with others and promote Workshop’s impact.
- Collaborate with the customer success team to identify opportunities to drive engagement, expand accounts, and assist in supporting customers with tailored messaging and resources.
- Support product marketing efforts by aligning messaging for new features and releases with customer needs, ensuring that updates are clearly communicated and adopted.
- Segment customers and personalize outreach to different customer types, helping ensure each interaction is relevant and adds value based on their unique journey with Workshop.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 3-5 years of experience in customer marketing, product marketing, or content marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS (but not required!)
- Hands-on experience with email and content marketing, with a proven ability to create campaigns that resonate with customers and drive engagement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
- Creative writing and storytelling skills to craft customer-focused content that’s both informative and engaging.
- Proficiency with marketing and CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms to create, track, and measure campaigns.
- Data-driven approach to measuring and optimizing marketing efforts.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience working on customer advocacy or referral programs.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS products and the customer journey within a tech environment.
- Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics to support content effectiveness.
This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone excited to directly impact the customer experience through engaging marketing initiatives. If you’re passionate about helping customers succeed and are ready to dive into impactful campaigns, we’d love to meet you!
