Job Description:

WorldStrides is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Senior Manager, Domestic Marketing reporting to the Senior Director, Group Marketing. This individual will play a pivotal role in owning and driving the domestic marketing strategy and execution aimed at engaging and attracting the next generation of teachers and educators to our diverse range of educational travel programs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Account Management, marketing functions such as creative, digital media team, coordinator team, as well as interact and partner with product management. This role will develop and implement innovative digital and print marketing initiatives and campaigns that resonate with our target audiences (K-12 teachers focused on middle and high school) and institutions (K-12 districts in the U.S.). This individual will create exciting content to consume, leverage cross channel and full-funnel marketing strategies, and contribute to the growth and success of WorldStrides.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to effectively reach and engage educators, teachers, community leaders, and K-12 school administrators.
  • Lead Generation: Development of a full-funnel lead generation strategy that heavily leverages digital touchpoints across web, search, social, display, retargeting and native sponsored ads in a variety of platforms and audience segments. Ensure lead gen strategies are aligned with business priorities and optimized to meet performance benchmarks and deliver actionable insights. Manage campaigns that touch different parts of the lead funnel from top of funnel for our sales team to mid-funnel and customer retention strategies with our current customers.
  • Sales Fulfilment and Materials: Work closely with both our new sales and account management team on sales collateral materials and requests such as power point presentations, updating existing collateral (posters, fliers, direct mail pieces). Help update digital email templates. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a huge plus!
  • Digital Marketing: Work with our digital marketing team to optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, paid search, and display advertising.
  • Content Strategy: Lead the creation of engaging and relevant content (e.g., blog posts, videos, social media posts) that resonates with educator/administrator audiences and aligns with our educational travel offerings.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Closely and proactively monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts, optimize campaigns for maximum impact, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Work with the Senior Director of Marketing on allocating the domestic marketing budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer experience, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Marketing Intelligence - Keep abreast of the latest consumer and marketing trends and advancements in technology. Recommend new approaches or tools to improve digital performance.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, the capability to adapt to new situations, and think creatively with stakeholders. You like figuring out how to navigate challenges and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and find a solution.
  • Excellent internal communication skills, with the ability to set context for stakeholders, work collaboratively across departments, and act with urgency in communications with sales.
  • Excellent external communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and storytelling that resonates with the target audience.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of email campaigns and various digital channels. Experience with direct mail and/or appealing to K-12 teachers is a huge plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for educational travel and our mission of enabling students to expand their worldview through transformative educational travel experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on lead generation, campaign management, and/or product/solution marketing.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that resonate with educators and institutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying target audiences and devising multi-channel content that drive meaningful results; ideally revenue-driving outcomes.
  • Well-rounded marketer with both creative and analytical abilities that can provide input on design and copy but also has a deep understanding of marketing analytics and reporting.
  • East Coast time zone preferred.

Maryland Salary Range

$90,000 - $95,000 USD

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount WorldStrides is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

New York Salary Range

$90,000 - $95,000 USD
