This role is responsible for the integrity of the CoA (Chart of Accounts) mapping to enable accurate management reporting and compliance. Responsible to assess the entire GL process aligned to WPP Group Reporting Policy and Guidelines to enable a standard CoA that is current and scalable.
The successful candidate will be a reliable source of expertise with a helpful and calm approach to managing daily challenges and queries.

What you'll be doing:
- Manage the Chart of Accounts design and structure across multiple ERPs.
- Align the WPP Accounting Principles & Standards (Global) reported by Group Reporting to the Chart of Accounts mapping templates.
- Ensure accurate and timely mapping of the ERP General Ledger to BFC (WPP consolidated reporting tool).
- Ensure changes to the BFC accounts are reviewed, and ERP system GL changes are updated timely.
- Centrally perform the reconciliation of the local trial balance chart of accounts to BFC mapping aligned to the internal control guidelines and distribute the reconciliation to the key stakeholders.
- Fully own and lead the CoA mapping across ERP migrations and merger and acquisition projects.
- Reconcile differences between IFRS and Local GAAP mapping and ensure compliance across various jurisdictions
- Expertise in CoA best practices to ensure hierarchical structures, segment design, account types (asset, liability, equity, revenue, expense) are accurately captured within the CoA design and structure.
- Manage the dimensional accounting requirements, ensuring the CoA integrates with other dimensions like cost centres, profit centres, legal entities, products, regions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance for all CoA elements.
- Manage and maintain the CoA configuration for multiple ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Maconomy, Microsoft Dynamics, BC Media).
- Responsible for regulatory and compliance across the CoA, including awareness of global/local tax regulations and how CoA impacts tax reporting and compliance in different countries.
- Designing CoA to support strong internal controls and auditability.
- Maintain an understanding of complex legal entity structures to ensure how the CoA aligns with the legal and operational structure of the WPP global organisation.
- Understanding of the organisation's business model and operations to determine how financial transactions relate to operational activities.

What you'll need:
- Experience - 4 - 6 years
- Qualification : Qualified CA / Any Finance Graduate
- Deep understanding of IFRS and GAAP (US GAAP, local GAAP where applicable)
- Ability to interpret, manipulate and present data in a logical manner
- Experience with financial reporting tools, Excel Macros, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, consolidation software
- Self-starter with ability to prioritise effectively
- Confidence in building relationships both internally and externally.
