Why we're hiring:
The Programme Supervisor leads and oversees the successful maintenance, and continuous optimisation of WPP’s Commercial Card programme administration processes. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring accurate setup, compliant administration, effective cardholder support, and robust operational governance across regions and local entities, often through the supervision and development of a team of Programme Administrators.
The Supervisor acts as the primary escalation point and strategic coordination lead between WPP Shared Services, local finance teams, cardholders, Onboarding, Service teams, and Programme Managers. This role combines strategic oversight, advanced operational execution, process development and enforcement, comprehensive user support, and sophisticated system administration.
What you'll be doing:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the maintenance of cardholder accounts, corporate billing accounts, and programme hierarchies, ensuring data integrity and adherence to global policies.
- Manage and review the monitoring of centrally billed payment processes, ensuring timely settlement, proactive issue identification, and resolution.
- Supervise the administration of complex account updates (e.g., bulk name changes, significant company structure changes, large-scale hierarchical moves) and ensure operational efficiency.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex guidance on applications, card issuance criteria, credit limits, and transaction limits, ensuring consistent application of policies and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement strategies to monitor, report, and remediate systemic cardholder delinquency issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead and project manage rollouts of new divisions, sites, billing accounts, and significant programme expansions, coordinating efforts across multiple internal and external teams.
- Design, deliver, and oversee comprehensive training programs for cardholders and Programme Administrators, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge transfer across the team.
- Mentor and develop a team of Programme Administrators, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness within the programme.
- Manage strategic stakeholder relationships with and internal WPP teams, representing the programme in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.
What you'll need:
Skills & Competencies
Need minimum 8+ years of experience into Corporate / Commercial Card administration (including team handling)
Technical Skills
- Expert-level understanding of commercial card processes (T&E, CTA, P Card), including market best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Advanced proficiency with Card administration, comprehensive reporting, complex applications, and strategic programme maintenance and optimization.
- Deep knowledge of WPP hierarchy setup, MCC controls, advanced card issuance policies, and intricate billing structures, with the ability to interpret and apply these to complex scenarios and guide others.
- Proven ability to manage and ensure data accuracy across multiple integrated systems, driving robust data governance and reporting.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI) for reporting, trend analysis, and performance monitoring.

- Robust project management capabilities for programme enhancements, system integrations, and large-scale rollouts.
Governance & Compliance
- Comprehensive understanding of KYC, complex credit structures, and contracting processes, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- In-depth knowledge and application of internal cardholder policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, leading compliance efforts for the programme.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring governance frameworks and controls to ensure program integrity.
