Security Operations Coordinator

xAI is seeking a proven security champion to support the ongoing growth of the organization’s security program.
Reporting to the Security Operations Lead, the Security Operations Coordinator will oversee local guard force operations, create and maintain security standards and procedures, and adapt to various security roles based upon operational needs.
This is an in-person role based in San Francisco or Palo Alto CA, and may require minimal travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of local on-site security guard force operations
- Cultivate connections with local emergency services and police, aligning response procedures for each site
- Forge and sustain collaborations with local site management teams, managing security protocols and emergency response strategies
- Create and execute customized emergency readiness initiatives based on each site's specific requirements
- Adapt to various roles within the security team, taking on different tasks based on operational needs.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of military, law enforcement, or emergency response experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing security operations
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- CPP, PSP or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in military, law enforcement or emergency response.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting access control and video management systems.
- Experience in a security or safety function managing large sites, corporate, or manufacturing environments is desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Personal integrity is crucial. This position is expected to maintain operational security and safeguard sensitive information.
