Position Summary 

As the Director of Demand Generation, you will own and execute a full-funnel marketing strategy that drives a predictable and scalable pipeline and bookings growth to help our business grow and exceed our targets. You will be responsible for building multi-channel campaigns, optimizing inbound and outbound marketing efforts, and aligning closely with sales to drive high-quality demand for new and existing customers. This high-impact role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Position Details

  • Salary Range:  $125,000 - $145,000K plus  Bonus
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid; Will be required to work in the Boulder, CO office 2 days a week
  • Reports to:  Vice President, Marketing
  • Location: Yes Energy HQ in Boulder, CO 

Key Responsibilities

Demand strategy & execution

  • Develop and execute demand-generation strategies that drive qualified pipeline growth across key accounts, segments, and personas.
  • Own demand gen funnel across multiple channels (paid media, ABM, SEO, email, webinars, events, etc.).
  • Build and execute integrated, multi-touch campaigns aligned with go-to-market strategy to generate, engage, and nurture prospects, driving marketing traction with multiple segments/stakeholders, spanning prospects, customers, and partners while ensuring alignment with target customer segments and accounts.
  • Conduct read-outs summarizing demand gen initiatives, priorities, results and optimization plans with colleagues as well as executive leadership
  • Manage the demand generation budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize return on investment. 

Multi-channel program ownership

  • Lead the execution and optimization of high-performing inbound and outbound programs that engage target accounts at every stage of the buyer journey. 
  • Drive results across ABM, paid acquisition, content marketing, SEO/organic, and other emerging channels.
  • Design, deliver and optimize campaigns to create awareness and educate prospects, customers, and partners, including complex, multi-stage workflows to achieve multiple touchpoints with customer targets.
  • Manage agency relationships and manage paid media (Google Ads, LinkedIn, programmatic) to ensure strong return and strategic alignment

Marketing & sales alignment

  • Partner closely with sales leadership to ensure alignment on pipeline goals, lead quality, and attribution.
  • Enable and support BDR teams with campaign insights, messaging, and outreach enablement tools to improve engagement and conversions.
  • Develop lead nurture strategies that improve conversion rates.

Data-driven performance optimization

  • Own key demand generation KPIs, including marketing-sourced pipeline, bookings, CAC, and conversion rates.
  • Use tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, 6sense, and SalesLoft to measure, analyze, and optimize campaign performance.
  • Continuously test, learn, and iterate to scale high-performing programs based on performance insights.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B2B SaaS Demand Gen Expert – You have 7+ years of experience in demand generation, growth marketing, or performance marketing in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally in the energy or industrial sector.
  • Strategic & Hands-On – You thrive in a fast-growing company where you can build strategy and execute tactical programs.
  • SEM Guru – Deep hands-on expertise in SEM and paid media strategy, including campaign setup, optimization, and agency/vendor management.
  • Revenue-Focused Marketer – You understand how to optimize marketing for pipeline and revenue, not just leads.
  • Data-Driven & Tech-Savvy – You are proficient in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Unbounce, etc.
  • Team Leader  – You’ve led, mentored, and developed a team of demand-generation professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.​
  • Cross-Functional Leader – You excel at collaborating with sales, product, and leadership to drive aligned growth.
  • Performance Analysis Guru – You utilize analytics tools to measure, analyze, and report on campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize strategies and maximize ROI.​
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager problem solver - the ability to plan, schedule, and manage initiatives efficiently and proactively while prioritizing and juggling projects.

 

 

Preferred Experience

  • Strong familiarity with the use of 6sense or a similar vendor to drive ABM and overall campaign success
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline; MBA a plus
