As an Analytics Engineer in our central data team, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving our data models and semantic layer. You’ll collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers to make complex data easy to access, trustworthy, and meaningful, supporting everything from product experimentation to business insights.

You’ll also work closely with other teams to guide best practices in data modeling and help build tools that enable self-serve analytics at scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

• Design and development of data models in various tools (DBT and LookML)

• Development of the “last mile” for analytical data, supporting the connection between the Data Engineering team tools and internal stakeholders

• Helping analysts to utilise and get value from data modeling and semantic layers and providing help in the identification of common problems across the teams and developing general solutions and standardised approaches

• Make optimal use of the data infrastructure and contents, both architectural and performance wise

• Improving the process of development and quality monitoring of data modelling layer

WHO YOU ARE

 

Must-haves:

• SQL mastery is a must

• Ability to design and assemble suitable metrics (product, targeting, etc.)

• Proven data modelling experience

• Experience and understanding of different semantic layers

• Software engineering practices (git, CI)

• Intermediate knowledge of Python language

• Understanding of basic principles of modern data warehouses and ways to optimise data queries on a distributed compute environment

• Data quality assurance skills

 

Nice-to-haves:

• Data infrastructure and cloud data storages design knowledge

• Third party data integration experience

• Experience in the mobile applications domain

• Knowledge of marketing attribution and tracking services concepts and related best practices

• Experience with Dataframe API Python libraries such as Pandas, PySpark or SnowPark

• Understanding how different roles in the company use data for their day to day work. For example Analysts, Designers and Product Managers and Product Owners
