About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly motivated Social Media Intern with a passion for TikTok and Instagram Reels, strong content creation skills, and a sharp eye for emerging trends. This 12-week internship offers a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM PDT.
You’ll support a leading eyewear brand by producing engaging short-form video content, contributing to our social media strategy, and interacting with our online community in a fun, authentic voice. Working closely with our in-house social and influencer teams, you’ll have the freedom to pitch ideas, take creative risks, and make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation:
- Create, film, and edit high-quality, engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms
- Brainstorm and pitch creative content ideas based on current trends, pop culture, and Zenni's brand identity
- Assist in the development of social media campaigns and strategies
- Community Engagement:
- Monitor social media channels for trending topics, conversations, and brand mentions
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive online community
- Engage with influencer partnerships and brand ambassadors
- Influencer Marketing:
- Source and identify potential influencers that align with Zenni’s brand values and target audience
- Manage influencer partnerships by coordinating communication and campaign deliverables
- Update metrics on influencer campaign performance, tracking impressions and engagement
- Social Media Management:
- Assist with daily social media operations, including daily posting, tracking analytics, and reporting on performance
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices
- Conduct competitive research and analyze competitor social media strategies
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Proven experience creating engaging short-form video content (portfolio or examples required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative, trend-savvy, and passionate about social media. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in video content.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with video editing software (especially CapCut and Canva).
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Aspire, Impact).
- Experience in influencer marketing, including identifying, negotiating, and managing influencer relationships.
- Passion for eyewear and fashion.

Compensation
In addition to other forms of compensation like perks and benefits, the estimated range for this role is $28-30 /hr. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs.
