THE ROLE

We're building Zeta Developer Platform, our next-generation Marketing Operating System launching in 2026, and we need a Senior Product Designer to own and evolve its design system. This is a foundational role focused on creating the components, patterns, and guidelines that ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across Zeta Developer Platform and our vertical applications. You'll join at a pivotal moment where we're raising the bar on quality, speed, and innovation. We're looking for someone who can challenge us in the best way: bringing deep expertise in design systems, component architecture, and cross-functional collaboration to push our thinking forward and help us achieve what hasn't been done before.

This is a foundational role for a product that will define our company's future. You won't just be maintaining a component library—you'll be architecting the design infrastructure for an entire operating system.

  • Direct Impact on Zeta Developer Platform Launch: Your work is critical to our 2026 success
  • High Autonomy: Creative freedom and strategic ownership over the design system
  • Scale & Complexity: Build a system that powers multiple products and use cases
  • Emerging Patterns: Help define how AI and agentic interactions manifest in our UI
  • Room to Shape the Future: Influence not just what we build, but how we work as a team

THE TEAM

We're evolving how we work to reach the next level:

  • Vision over hand-holding leads to more creativity and innovation
  • Empowerment and delegation leads to more accountability and ownership
  • Strategy and clarity means less management, more impact
  • Challenge and growth creates better outcomes through healthy debate

We value people who bring ideas on what we should stop doing, start doing, or change to elevate our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the Design System: Lead the strategy, architecture, and evolution of our design system. You'll define component libraries, design tokens, interaction patterns, and documentation that enable teams to build cohesive, high-quality experiences at scale.
  • Build Production-Ready Components: Go beyond static designs to create functional, accessible components. You'll work closely with engineering to ensure design system assets translate seamlessly into code, maintaining fidelity from Figma to production.
  • Establish Patterns and Guidelines: Define and document UX patterns, accessibility standards, and best practices that guide how teams design and build across the platform. You'll create resources that empower designers and developers to work faster without sacrificing quality.
  • Drive Adoption and Enablement: Champion the design system across the organization. You'll partner with product teams to ensure adoption, gather feedback, and continuously improve the system based on real-world usage.
  • Design for Emerging Capabilities: As we integrate AI and agentic features into Zeta Developer Platform, you'll help define patterns for new interaction models—ensuring these capabilities feel native to the system rather than bolted on.
  • Lead with Vision and Accountability: Drive design system strategy with clear ownership and decision-making authority. You'll operate with high autonomy, identifying opportunities for improvement, and taking full accountability for the system's success.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years designing digital products with at least 3+ years focused on design systems
  • Track record of building and scaling design systems used by multiple teams
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments where speed and quality both matter
  • Background collaborating across design, engineering, and product teams
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and emerging design patterns is a plus

Core Skills

  • Design Systems Expertise: Deep experience building and scaling design systems, including component libraries, design tokens, and documentation
  • Visual & Interaction Design: Strong foundation in typography, color, layout, motion, and interaction design principles
  • Frontend Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/React—you can build and prototype components, not just design them
  • Figma Mastery: Expert-level skills in Figma, including component architecture, variants, auto-layout, and design tokens
  • Accessibility: Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines and inclusive design practices

Mindset & Approach

  • High Ownership: You take full accountability for your domain and drive results independently
  • Systems Thinker: You see the big picture and design for scale, reusability, and maintainability
  • Quality-Obsessed: You have exceptionally high standards and the skill to execute on them
  • Collaborative: You build strong partnerships with design, engineering, and product teams
  • Challenge-Ready: You can push back constructively and help teams think bigger

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
