Compliance Specialist - Vendor management

WHO ARE YOU:

The Vendor Management Coordinator will be passionate about ensuring we have a well-run and organized vendor management function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and will ensure nothing slips through the cracks. You will ensure that all activities and tasks are tracked, reviewed, and completed in a timely manner. You will report to the Director of Vendor Management to support all activities of the vendor management organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Track all vendor management activities and tasks and drive them to completion
  • Follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner
  • Coordinate all activities across each stakeholder group that is part of the overall vendor management process (i.e., legal, risk, business, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Support the Director of Vendor Management
  • Manage our vendor onboarding and risk review systems
  • Ensure that vendor onboarding is initiated and completed in a timely manner
  • Support our business partners through the vendor onboarding process
  • Work with the vendors during the onboarding process to answer any of their questions and ensure the timely completion of their activities
  • Help track vendor spend across individual vendors, departments, and categories
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement within the vendor management process
  • Help identify opportunities for spend reduction
  • Produce standard reporting to show status of activities, risks, turnaround time, and other key metrics
  • Ensure vendor information is distributed to all relevant parties at the appropriate time

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 3+ or more years experience coordinating complex processes and ensuring all tasks are tracked and completed
  • 8-10 years of overall experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply chain management and / or Contract management.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and leverage them to manage activities and drive tasks to completion
  • Ability to understand the nuances associated with managing each vendor’s unique contract and the sensitivity around who and how to communicate
  • Preferably experience working in vendor management or procurement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • High attention to detail, resourceful, well-organized, and good time management
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Works to build effective relationships across the company
  • Detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple work streams and adjust priorities as needed in a deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely and effectively communicate with a senior audience in a high pressure, fast paced, highly collaborative environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities
