WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking a Risk Analyst. As a key member of the Legal, Compliance and Risk team, and in partnership with the Head of Risk, you will play a crucial role in helping identify, assess, manage and monitor the risks associated with our Fintech and Insuretech companies, as well as our Third Party Administrator. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, an understanding of risk management, and prefer a background in the financial and/or insurance industry. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks and controls, identify opportunities to enhance risk management processes, provide monthly and quarterly reporting, and contribute to the overall success of our business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments with each business area, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze data to assess the financial impact of identified risks and, in partnership with the Head of Risk, provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to assess their impact on our risk profile.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement risk management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare risk reports to senior management, highlighting metrics, key findings, trends, and recommendations.
  • Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Possess a Bachelors 's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Risk Management
• Bring over 5 years of experience in Risk Management and/or Compliance, or have extensive experience in a role implementing risk management strategies within the life insurance and annuity industry, Fintech, and/or Insuretech spaces
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with business, engineering, data, and product teams to enhance the controls environment through automated techniques.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to risk management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
