As a Marketing Specialist, you will be a hands-on executor of the content, social, events, awards and email programs that build the 5W brand. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will personally build, write, schedule, send and track the work, not just coordinate it, helping the team maximize visibility and generate leads.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Content & Social Media

  • Manage and execute the 5W social media calendar, bringing fresh ideas and concepts, including writing posts, scheduling, publishing, monitoring and engaging with the community
  • Support executive thought leadership by drafting social content and tracking opportunities for executives to participate in relevant conversations.
  • Keep 5W case studies and client testimonials up to date across the website, social, content and events.
  • Support content, as needed, across the 5W brand, including blogs, newsletters, social posts, case studies and other marketing collateral

Awards, Events & Industry Visibility

  • Maintain the agency awards calendar, researching opportunities, tracking deadlines, gathering materials and writing and submitting entries.
  • Handle the details of 5W’s participation in industry events, including researching opportunities, completing registrations, booking logistics, ordering collateral and sending pre- and post-event communications.
  • Assist with 5W-sponsored events, including vendor coordination, working with the design team on assets and onsite support as needed.

Email Marketing, Lead Generation & Reporting

  • Write, build, test and send email communications in the email platform, from first draft through deployment.
  • Pull, segment and maintain email lists, keeping contact data clean and accurate.
  • Track inbound leads and keep campaign and contact records up to date.
  • Pull performance data and prepare regular reports on content engagement, email performance, event results, lead generation and other KPIs.

Marketing Operations & Planning

  • Keep the agency marketing calendar current, flagging upcoming deadlines and dependencies to the team.
  • Work with internal teams, including design, account teams and leadership, to gather inputs and keep projects on schedule.
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends, and share findings and ideas with the marketing team.

Here’s what you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally in an agency or B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience personally executing marketing work, such as building and sending emails, pulling lists, creating and running a social calendar and managing event logistics.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across audiences and channels.
  • Working proficiency in social media, email marketing and analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves approach, comfortable owning tasks large and small from start to finish.
  • Ability to context switch across verticals in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive and eager to learn.

Why you'll love working here:

  • Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits & wellness programs including partnership with ClassPass!
  • Flexible PTO
  • Summer Fridays and Winter, Spring, and Fall Fridays too!
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility and work-life balance
  • Expanded parental leave and family planning support
  • Continuous learning through "5W University" and development initiatives
