Role Overview 

The Vice President of AI Environment Readiness plays a pivotal role in preparing Accordion’s enterprise environments, data, and processes for AI enablement. Reporting directly to the AI Enablement Lead, this role bridges the gap between technology infrastructure, data architecture, and AI activation—ensuring the foundation is set for intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and generative AI capabilities.

This leader will guide how structured and unstructured data is stored, accessed, and contextualized for AI use across tools such as Glean, ChatGPT, CoPilot, and Zoom AI. The VP will collaborate closely with Data, Infrastructure, Security, and BI teams to ensure enterprise systems are AI-ready—balancing innovation with governance and scalability. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of data architecture and enterprise environments, combined with the strategic thinking required to translate AI readiness into measurable business impact.

This role can be based in any of our US office locations and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week.

What You’ll Do:

AI Environment Readiness Leadership

  • Define and lead the strategy to make enterprise systems and data AI-ready
  • Establish technical standards for data accessibility, contextualization, and AI interoperability
  • Conduct readiness assessments across infrastructure, data, and process domains to identify and close gaps
  • Partner with IT leadership to prepare cloud environments and integrations for AI workloads such as embeddings, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval

Data Enablement & Governance

  • Work with BI, Data, and Security teams to ensure data is unified, accessible, and well-governed for AI use
  • Develop frameworks for metadata tagging, indexing, and contextualization across structured and unstructured sources
  • Promote data consistency across enterprise systems (e.g., DealCloud, NetSuite, ClickUp) to enable cross-platform intelligence
  • Support compliance and data privacy standards aligned with AI governance expectations

Infrastructure & Integration Enablement

  • Ensure that infrastructure and APIs can support high-performance AI and automation workloads
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Application teams to connect systems used by AI platforms like Glean and CoPilot
  • Define best practices for securely integrating AI APIs and external tools into Accordion’s enterprise environment

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

  • Collaborate with the AI Enablement Lead to align environment readiness with overall AI strategy
  • Partner with the AI Application & Agent Development team to ensure environments are properly indexed and optimized for agent use
  • Work closely with BI and Data teams to prepare datasets for model training, prompt engineering, and contextual retrieval
  • Educate business teams on AI readiness principles and promote alignment across departments

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track KPIs that measure environment readiness and AI enablement maturity
  • Continuously enhance frameworks and standards as AI tools and best practices evolve
  • Communicate progress and insights to executive leadership, linking readiness improvements to operational impact

Success in This Role

  • Clear progress in preparing systems and data for AI integration and automation
  • Improved efficiency and consistency in how enterprise data supports AI and analytics
  • Strong collaboration across technology and business teams to accelerate AI adoption
  • Recognized as a key contributor to Accordion’s transformation into an AI-enabled enterprise

You Have:

  • 6–10 years of experience in enterprise IT, data architecture, or technology enablement
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience preparing systems and data for AI use cases such as embeddings, knowledge graphs, and contextual retrieval
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI tools like Glean, ChatGPT, Microsoft CoPilot, or Zoom AI preferred
  • Knowledge of metadata management, APIs, and interoperability standards
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field

The annual salary for this role ranges from: $100,000 to $175,000 + benefits + bonus

Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
