THE ROLE

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Director, GTM to lead and execute go-to-market strategies for emerging product categories. This role will play a critical part in driving category growth, product innovation and delivering exceptional experiences tailored to new customer segments.

Reporting to the Senior Director, GTM & Commercialization, the ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic leader with a passion for bringing concepts from 0 to implementation. The successful candidate is skilled in identifying customer and category insights to shape launch strategies, as well as managing cross-functional partnerships to launch initiatives that deeply resonate with a brand’s customers and market.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and execute the GTM strategy and roadmap new product categories, leveraging customer and market insights to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Insights, Research, and Innovation teams to identify opportunities, drive alignment, and deliver on category goals
  • Own launches for new products and lifecycle management from product readiness to customer, ensuring smooth delivery and adoption
  • Conduct market analysis to assess current performance, competitive landscape, and whitespace opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional planning to ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders, prioritizing initiatives that maximize impact
  • Partner with Creative, Retention, and Acquisition teams to deliver cohesive messaging and campaigns that support category growth
  • Champion the voice and experience of the customer, ensuring initiatives meet the unique needs of new customer segments
  • Develop business cases to support investments in new products and growth opportunities
  • Lead target setting for new product launches through the F12M by collaborating with Finance and Analytics
  • Streamline and optimize processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency and support scalable execution across GTM activities
  • Manage tools and technologies to support GTM activities, enable cross-functional collaboration, and optimize analytics capabilities

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

  • 8-10 years of experience in bringing new CPG innovations to market, ideally in wellness, consumer goods, or family-focused industries
  • Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that drive growth and innovation
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data and insights to guide decisions
  • Experience working with high-performing, cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams, drive results, and influence
  • Strategy and operations experience, preferably within GTM or customer insights/experience or a similar capacity
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives at once
  • Creative thinker with a passion for driving innovation and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, including identifying inefficiencies, implementing solutions, and measuring impact
  • A desire to follow broader cultural conversation across social media around key topic areas: health and wellness, sports, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $141,500-$175,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
