THE ROLE
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative, and customer-centric Director, Growth Marketing, Australia dedicated to scaling our digital acquisition and retention efforts in Australia. This person is a growth hacker at heart who has repeatable experience scaling budgets and high-performing teams across a number of channels, including digital platforms and creator channels. This leader will be accountable for scaling AG1’s growth strategy into a growing market and adapting and strategizing new growth methods relevant to the region.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Execute and lead the implementation of growth strategy by using paid and owned media channels to grow new user acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention in a scalable and efficient way
- Understand/embrace the global brand/marketing strategy positioning and work in conjunction with the CEO, International and the Brand Marketing lead to develop/implement a streamlined growth strategy for Australia.
- Lead the development and execution of innovative growth marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Own the full marketing funnel, from awareness through conversion and retention, leveraging multiple channels (digital, email, social, content, partnerships, SEO, etc.).
- Manage and grow the company’s presence across both paid and organic channels, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with APAC and the global leadership team to refine brand messaging and ensure consistency across all channels.
- Partner with regional teams to tailor global campaigns for the Australian market.
- Lead rapid experimentation of new channels, campaigns, creative, incentives, sales funnels on the website and approaches for the purpose of acquiring high LTV customers at the appropriate LTV-to-CAC ratios
- Be responsible for the reporting on key metrics and delivering ROI of the program across a number of stages in the funnel and website - awareness, consideration, acquisition and site analytics
- Build and lead a high-performing creator partnerships program focused on building strong relationships with creators across Podcasts, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms that drive both revenue growth and brand trust
- Oversee the pipeline and ecosystem of ambassadors to ensure continuous partner growth and retention
- Lead media buying efforts across both brand and performance campaigns and identify efficiencies between the two
- Partner deeply with the creative team or agencies to develop new operating models and tools for creative development and iteration
- Responsible for measuring inputs, optimizing dashboards and mining data to drive weekly business reviews, insights and move business lag metrics
- Develop and manage the annual plan and budget and, in collaboration with Growth Finance, adjust plans monthly based upon realized return on investment.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization including product, engineering, customer and brand marketing
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing, with prior experience in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the Australian market, consumer behavior, and digital trends.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a consistent “can-do” attitude.
- Proven track record of successfully managing both large and small scale marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
- Being customer-centric
- A flexible mindset and ability to deal with ambiguity that comes with a high-growth environment
- Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is AUD 150,000.00 - AUD 190,000.00 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
