THE ROLE
AG1 is looking for a qualified and motivated Senior Manager of Contract Manufacturing. You will assist both the Regional Director of Supply Chain and the Global Director of Manufacturing in overseeing the selection, qualification, and day-to-day management of manufacturing procedures in our third-party facilities, ensuring our products are made to the highest standard and moving quickly to solve any risks to quality or performance. You will be responsible for seeking out and identifying processes that can be profitably improved and optimized. You’ll work closely with our Global and cross-functional team to qualify new facilities and support existing manufacturing partners in scaling up new products and renovation work on existing products. You’ll monitor manufacturing plans and production schedules, establish and ensure safety protocols are enforced, and utilize SLAs and KPIs to drive improved organizational performance. Our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience in fast-paced leadership roles.
This role is remote and will be based in Ireland.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard third-party manufacturing partners across the EU, coordinating with cross-functional teams to validate the business case and implement new partners.
- Implement root cause analysis and work in partnership with Quality to ensure all necessary quality standards are met with a “no-compromise” mentality while supporting CoMans in resolving any quality or performance issues/risks within manufacturing.
- Monitor manufacturing plans and production schedules to maximize the efficient use of resources and minimize overhead costs.
- Lead inspections and QBRs.
- Ensure timely and safe shipment procedures, especially during periods of heightened demand.
- Drive cost improvement initiatives and process optimizations in collaboration with Sourcing and Finance.
- Monitor production to ensure compliance with our rigorous standards and timelines.
- Support product development by coordinating operational onboarding with new vendors
- Implement robust mitigation and continuity plans, particularly during promotional periods or product transitions.
- Ensure the overall team meets or exceeds assigned goals, objectives, KPIs (key performance indicators), and other targets.
- Identify and recommend new, enhanced, or extended opportunities along with the required resources, including departmental budgeting and operations planning.
- Effectively partner with peer managers to align priorities, accountability, and objectives.
- Communicate the importance of compliance and foster an environment where teams feel safe to report issues as necessary.
- Develop, implement, and report regularly on performance metrics.
- Clearly articulate strategic drivers and proactively remove barriers to support accountability.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5-10 years of professional experience working with third-party contract manufacturers, including experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in the Consumer Goods or wellness industry is required.
- Experience in vendor onboarding, implementation, and account management
- In-depth knowledge of the process, systems, and methods in the blending/manufacturing process
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, organizational methodologies, and vendor relationship management
- Willingness to travel within the EU as needed (likely once per month)
- A high level of organization & incredible attention to detail
- A work ethic that thrives in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
- An analytical thought process that can always be backed with data

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is €75,600.00 - €96,300.00 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
