A Snapshot
As Energy Policy Manager, you will report to the Associate Vice President, Energy and Land Strategy within the Energy and Land Strategy (ELS) Team, and work closely with the Head of Government Affairs and other teams across the Asia Pacific & Japan regions, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Influence energy policy to support AirTrunk’s rapid growth and sustainability goals across hyperscale data centre developments across regions we operate in Play a key role in shaping regulatory outcomes that enable innovative, low-carbon energy solutions for digital infrastructure
- Build a high-impact career at the intersection of energy, technology, and public policy in one of Asia Pacific’s fastest-growing infrastructure platforms
Your Day to Day
- Develop and implement energy policy strategies that align with AirTrunk’s business objectives and sustainability commitments
- Lead and contribute to policy submissions, regulatory reviews, and consultation processes with government and industry bodies
- Monitor and analyse energy market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging policy trends across Australia and the Asia Pacific region
- Collaborate with internal teams—including sustainability, development, and operations—to ensure policy positions are commercially and technically informed
- Represent AirTrunk in external forums, working groups, and stakeholder engagements to advocate for progressive energy policy outcomes
Requirements
- Must have a minimum [5] years of experience in energy policy, government relations, regulatory affairs, or a related field
- Must have a strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and decarbonisation pathways in Australia and the Asia Pacific & Japan regions
- Tertiary qualifications in public policy, law, economics, environmental science, engineering, or a relevant discipline
- Proven ability to draft high-quality policy submissions and engage effectively with senior stakeholders across government and industry
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to navigate complex issues in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
