
Design Responsible Engineer - Body Electronics

Join an innovative brand that’s on a mission to transform the all-electric pickup truck and rugged SUV market. As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge body electronics systems, including sensors and actuators, for these vehicles. Your responsibilities will span from initial concept through virtual development, testing, and into production. Specific duties include:
Take ownership of the electrical hardware design for all body electronics components, sensors, and actuators for electric trucks and SUVs, guiding the entire process from initial design to final manufacturing launch.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance teams to create detailed technical specifications that support the quoting and sourcing processes for these components.
Coordinate with module owners and suppliers to ensure timely release and quality of all body control systems.
Be part of a dynamic and diverse team environment that promotes collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
Conduct virtual and physical verification testing, including field tests, to ensure designs meet performance expectations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and U.S. regulatory requirements in all designs.
Monitor and assess customer experience to drive improvements in system design.
Support the design of production facilities for electric truck and SUV manufacturing.
Optimize supplier relationships to ensure components and systems meet cost, timing, and quality objectives.
What You’ll Bring

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical/mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a similar discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in body electrical/electromechanical engineering, with comprehensive experience in product development (design, testing, and launch phases) within the automotive industry.
Strong expertise in body control systems, leveraging a six-sigma approach to design and troubleshooting.
Experience with computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools or similar software.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels.
Salary Range: $100,000-125,000
