
Supply Chain Specialist/ Industrial Engineer

About the Role:
- The intent is to utilize the network and expertise of an established leader in the industry to monitor and facilitate the recovery of the supplier's portfolio, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and operational efficiency. Our Customer will assess the suppliers’ expertise and select the best technical and commercial offer based on their Technical and Commercial requirements. The expected outcome is to award the best-fit option for the services in question for a period determined. This RFP is not to be interpreted as a contractual document.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring:
- Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, focusing on key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality standards, and production capacity.
- Identify root causes of underperformance and propose corrective actions.
- Recovery Plan Implementation:
- Collaborate with supplier management to develop and execute a comprehensive recovery plan.
- Track progress and ensure alignment with Safran's operational goals.
- On-Site Presence:
- Maintain a presence at the supplier's facility 3 to 5 days a week to oversee operations and provide real-time feedback.
- Act as the primary liaison between Safran and the supplier, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of issues.
- Risk Management:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on Safran's operations.
- Reporting and Documentation: RFP Supplier Recovery Representative
- Provide regular updates to Safran's management team, including detailed reports on supplier performance and recovery progress.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions, assessments, and corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with Safran's procurement, quality, and logistics teams to ensure a unified approach to supplier recovery.
- Facilitate collaboration between the supplier and Safran's internal teams to address challenges effectively.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Strong background in supply chain management and supplier performance improvement.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, such as casting and forging, is a plus.
- Flexibility and initiative to adapt to evolving challenges and drive effective solutions.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of related experience
Salary Range: open for negotiation (W2 or 1099 employment)
Location: Ideal employee travels between Portland, OR and Burbank, CA
