
Sr Payroll Specialist (US payroll)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process employee data (new hires, changes, additional earnings, terminations) from the Oracle HRMS system of record to the Payroll system.
- Process employee Time & Attendance data from the Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) system to Payroll and reconcile variances utilizing tools in OTL and Payroll systems.
- Develop in depth understanding of the Payroll Database to be able to create Ad-Hoc reports on demand.
- Set up and administration of all payrolls related pay and deduction codes, with appropriate taxation and GL coding.
- Garnishment check distribution and review of set up and communication to Agencies, Tax Levying authorities and Courts.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related documentation as it relates to the payroll department processing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures which relate to payroll processing.
- Prepare monthly BLS reports.
- Ensure company stock transactions (ESOP) are recorded correctly and appropriately.
- Ensure severance payment transactions are recorded correctly.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
- Process employer verification of employment (VOE) request.
- Global payroll processing experience for several Countries; Canada, Australia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
- Transmit payroll to an outside vendor.
- Audit payroll and prepare payroll post reporting to stakeholders.
- Assist employees in registering for or resetting access to online pay stubs.
- Provide customer service to employees: in the area of pay, benefits and taxes as they relate to their pay, how to enter time or time off, where to locate forms and information on company’s intranet, where to send completed forms, who to contact for benefit questions and how to obtain IRS instructions on withholding issues.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with hard deadlines simultaneously
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills including query skills
- Understanding of how to build efficient business processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work changing schedules in order to support international needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or any other higher degree / qualifications
- 2-4 years of payroll experience with experience using ADP Workforce Now payroll system.
- FPC or CPP designation preferred.
- Detail-oriented.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines.
- Should be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issue.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
