Sr Configuration Engineer(Azure Devops)

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent/years of experience required.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) / Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Total 5-6 years of experience
  • Proven hands-on experience in configuration management, DevOps, or infrastructure operations, with a strong focus on IT infrastructure and automation.
  • Proven hands-on experience in developing Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub, and GitHub Actions using YAML for CI/CD.
  • Solid experience with Terraform (preferred) or ARM templates for Azure infrastructure provisioning.
  • Proficient in version control systems such as GitHub and TFS; familiarity with other tools is a plus.
  • Strong scripting skills and experience using PowerShell; exposure to Python and Bash is a plus, especially for automating operational tasks.
  • Good understanding of Azure services (e.g., Key Vaults, Storage, WebApps, VMs, Networking).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) in addition to Azure-native tooling.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail in deployment and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Good to have: Development experience with C# and SQL for debugging, deployment scripting, and query tuning.
