Overview
Job Summary
In the role of Associate Quality Engineer, you'll play a pivotal part in developing testing solutions for applications spanning Web, Windows, API, and Services platforms, while also designing effective data validation strategies. Your primary objective is to accelerate the product's time to market without sacrificing quality, achieved through the strategic application of automation and innovative practices. This role will involve working with a defined set of technologies for manual and automation testing and provide effective ROI. You will work tightly with their all stakeholders to understand requirements and project timelines ensuring that the software developed adheres to the functional and nonfunctional requirements of the software solution.
You will collaborate closely with all stakeholders to comprehend requirements and project timelines, ensuring that the software development aligns with both the functional and nonfunctional aspects of the software solution.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable, under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
- Conducting tests on software applications, websites, or systems to identify defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Developing test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications provided.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs or issues found during testing using bug tracking tools like TFS, or similar.
- Performing regression tests to ensure that previously developed and tested software still performs after a change.
- Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contributing to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools used by the team.
- Writing and maintaining technical documentation in Confluence related to testing procedures and guidelines.
- Providing clear and concise feedback on defects and test results to the development team and other stakeholders.
- Providing Demo to Product owners during acceptance testing phases.
Qualifications
Experience
- 1-3 years of total experience in Manual and Automation testing
Your Qualifications.
Technical Skills:
- You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar study.
- 1-2 Years of Experience/Knowledge with stable UI, API and Interface automation scripting using any automation tool. (Preferably Ranorex, Selenium)
- Must have good OOPS and Programming knowledge (C# - Good to have)
- Should have Manual testing working experience.
- Have thorough understanding of Manual and Automation test process.
- Working knowledge for any Defect management tools (Preferably TFS / MTM)
- Involvement in automation test scripting, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding business requirements and identification of testing parameters.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation scripting issues of the application.
- Ability to create reusable automation test scripts (Good to have).
- Knowledge about agile framework.
- Expertise in designing test cases for Web and Desktop Applications.
- Good to have – API testing knowledge.
- High level of analytical thinking and systematic approach.
