ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Associate for Health Employment will support ALU’s mission to bridge the healthcare workforce gap by coordinating mentorship programs, experiential learning opportunities, and faculty engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis to ensure the successful execution of HEMP initiatives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the planning and execution of HEMP activities, including mentorship programs and field visits to health hubs.
- Organize logistics for health-related internships, ensuring equitable opportunities for students, including marginalized groups (women, people with disabilities, IDPs, and refugees).
- Support the facilitation of masterclasses and roundtable discussions with guest faculty and industry experts.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with ALU faculty, health sector partners, and industry experts to expand opportunities for students.
- Coordinate exchange programs for faculty and collaborative partners to pursue research and teaching opportunities in health-related coursework.
- Liaise with health organizations to secure internships and experiential learning opportunities for students.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Track and analyze student participation and impact metrics of health internships and mentorship programs.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting progress and key learnings.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all young persons and vulnerable adults with whom we deal, by adhering to ALU’s comprehensive safeguarding policy, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to any violations of safeguarding standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in program coordination, preferably in health educationor workforce development.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in stakeholder collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with mentoring and career support programs in the health sector.
