At Anaplan, we are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Director, HR Business Partner to join our People team. Based in our London office, this role will partner closely with senior leaders across our Go-To-Market (GTM) organisation in EMEA, as well as other business-critical functions including G&A, Product, and Engineering. You will play a pivotal role in driving people strategies, enabling business outcomes, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Anaplan’s values and ambitious growth plans.
Your Impact
As a trusted advisor to the business, you will:
- Collaborate with EMEA GTM and functional leaders to define and execute strategic people plans that support business goals, talent needs, and organisational effectiveness
- Serve as a coach and advisor to executives and leaders, helping them elevate leadership capability, employee engagement, and organisational performance
- Partner with COEs (e.g. Talent Acquisition, DE&I, Compensation, Learning & Development) to implement and evolve programs focused on talent development, performance management, succession planning, and engagement
- Lead workforce planning and organisational design efforts across multiple functions and geographies, ensuring alignment with Anaplan's global strategy
- Act as a change champion to guide leaders through transformation initiatives, helping teams adapt to scale, complexity, and agility
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to influence decision-making and drive continuous improvement in people practices
- Maintain a high level of business literacy regarding financial goals, product roadmaps, and competitive landscape to better align people strategies with business outcomes
- Partner with finance for headcount budgeting and planning, and with recruiting to align hiring plans and compensation strategies
- Provide guidance and input on large-scale reorganisations and senior-level succession planning
- Analyse people trends and metrics to develop targeted solutions that enhance organisational health
- Serve as a key member of the EMEA HR leadership team, contributing to regional initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
- Provide programme management support for core HR programs and policies, working closely with Legal and other HRBPs to ensure global alignment and compliance
Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Significant HRBP experience supporting senior leadership teams in a fast-paced, global technology or SaaS environment
- Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders across a variety of functions including Sales, Marketing, G&A, Product, and Engineering
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and cultural nuances across EMEA countries
- A proven track record of driving strategic people initiatives that align talent with business priorities
- Experience working on large-scale organisational design and workforce planning projects
- Broad understanding of HR disciplines, including employee relations, talent management, diversity/inclusion, and compensation
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence, build trust, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
- A collaborative and agile mindset, with experience navigating matrixed environments and evolving structures
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Go-To-Market functions (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) and G&A/Tech organisations in a multinational setting
- Proficiency with people analytics tools and leveraging data to drive strategy
- Experience in organisational development, change management, and coaching senior leaders
- Strong executive communication and consultation skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and maturity
- Fluency in one or more European languages (in addition to English) is a strong plus
- Exposure to high-growth SaaS organisations ($100M–$1B) is highly desirable
- Program and project management capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
Travel
Travel may be expected on a quarterly basis, when necessary.
