Principal Industry Solution Consultant

The Principal Industry Solution Consultant is a pivotal and highly strategic role within our Presales organization, primarily responsible for partnering with Account Executives to drive larger, strategic deals into the Enterprise segment. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, demonstrating how our EPM solutions, particularly with their advanced AI capabilities (e.g., predictive analytics, machine learning, generative AI), solve complex business challenges, deliver measurable ROI, and seamlessly integrate into existing enterprise IT landscapes. Deep industry expertise, exceptional communication, and a strong understanding of both business and technical architectures are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Focus: Drive Enterprise Strategic Deals with Account Executives:
    • Partner directly with Account Executives to develop and execute account strategies for the Enterprise segment, focusing on identifying, qualifying, and advancing large, complex strategic sales opportunities.
    • Lead comprehensive discovery sessions to uncover deep business pain points, strategic objectives, and competitive landscape within target enterprise accounts.
    • Position our Connected Planning solutions as transformational platforms that enable strategic planning, financial forecasting, operational optimization, and deliver significant, measurable business value.
  • AI-Powered Connected Planning Solution Storytelling & Demonstration:
    • Design, prepare, and deliver highly compelling, customized product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops for C-level executives and key business stakeholders.
    • Clearly articulate and showcase how our connected solutions (Including SCM, Workforce, EPM) , powered by integrated AI capabilities (e.g., PlanIQ-like predictive modeling, scenario optimization, intelligent automation, generative AI for insights), enhance accuracy, automate processes, and drive more intelligent, agile decision-making across finance, supply chain, sales, HR, and other functions.
    • Develop and present proof-of-concept (POC) solutions and technical validations tailored to complex enterprise requirements.
  • Deep Industry & EPM Expertise:
    • Maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, challenges, regulatory landscapes, and competitive solutions within the assigned vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare).
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) , Supply Chain Planning (SCM) best practices and the evolving role of AI within planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation.
    • SCM (Supply Chain & Demand Chain Planning) will be an added advantage.
    • Translate complex EPM, connected planning and AI technical concepts into easily understandable business benefits and strategic imperatives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Enterprise Architecture Understanding & Integration:
    • Possess a critical understanding of the broader enterprise IT landscape, including deep knowledge of how core systems like ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and other key applications within the enterprise architecture function.
    • Design and articulate how our connected solutions (e.g., Anaplan applications and platform) seamlessly integrate with, enhance, and extract value from these existing technology environments.
    • Address technical questions and concerns regarding data integration, security, scalability, and cloud architecture.
  • Strategic Collaboration with Marketing & Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Act as a key advisor to the Marketing team, providing deep market and industry insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to help shape messaging, content, and drive business development into targeted market segments.
    • Collaborate effectively with sales, product management, engineering, professional services, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from presales to implementation and ongoing success.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years of relevant progressive experience in a presales, solution architecture, or consulting role, with a strong focus on Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solutions.
    • Demonstrable track record of successfully engaging with C-level executives (CFO, COO, CIO) and driving large, strategic deals within the Enterprise segment.
    • Proven experience in designing and delivering compelling, customized software demonstrations and presentations.
    • Experience with Anaplan (platform and applications) or other leading EPM/SCM solutions (e.g., Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, OneStream, Adaptive Planning) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), API integrations, data warehousing, and enterprise data architectures.
    • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in EPM (e.g., predictive forecasting, optimization algorithms, natural language processing).
    • Ability to configure and demonstrate EPM software effectively.

  • Industry & Business Acumen:
    • In-depth knowledge of business processes, financial planning cycles, and challenges within a specific industry vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing).
    • Strong understanding of financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and operational planning processes.
    • Familiarity with the competitive EPM landscape and emerging technology trends.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and storytelling skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative selling abilities.
    • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for driving client success.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Master's degree (MBA a plus) or relevant industry/EPM certifications highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel [e.g., 25-50%] as needed to client sites and industry events.
  • Hybrid working culture with 2-3 days in a week in Mumbai office (BKC).
