About the job: 
Angi is looking for a Benefits and Leave Specialist to join the Human Resources Operations team. This role will partner closely with the current Sr. Benefits and Leave Administrator to manage the leave and accommodation processes as well as the benefits administration process needed to support our employees. We are looking for someone to come into our office in RiNo 1 day/week.

What will you do in this role?

  • Provide exceptional customer service as you help employees navigate the leave, ADA and workers’ compensation processes, in many times during an exciting and/or difficult time in their lives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the leave, ADA accommodations, PHE (COVID), and workers’ compensation programs.
  • Effectively manage cases in our Leave of Absence system (Presagia) and our Human Resources Management System (UltiPro). 
  • Independently approve or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information. 
  • Coordinate and organize all medical information and ensure that employee privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
  • Interpret and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, PHE, etc.). Ensure that the workers’ compensation cases are managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws.
  • Produce and manage reporting metrics and analytics for leave cases, accommodation cases, and workers’ compensation claims. 
  • Partner closely with HRBPs and Management on all workspace accommodation requests. Meet regularly to review the status of cases/claims and develops legally sound strategies for a mutually beneficial resolution.
  • Assist with basic employee benefits questions and navigate our benefits portal in order to provide excellent employee service.
  • Coordinates open enrollment and benefits enrollment for new hires or live events.

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus! 
  • 1+ years of experience working in an HR environment or leave administration, including internships, is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated problem solving, time management, attention to detail, and priority setting skills.
  • Ability to analyze information to determine appropriate course of action.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, deal with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to identify basic problems / procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to multi-task and drive multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws (i.e. FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, Workers’ Compensation, PHE, etc.).
  • Must be self-driven and able to work autonomously.
  • A commitment to top-notch customer service, follow-through, and professionalism.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and trust with employees at all levels and maintain confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $50,000-65,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
