About You

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our growing organization. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with proven success in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), reverse logistics, and electronics remarketing.

In this role, you will perform essential warehouse operations with a specific focus on processing retired IT assets. You will be responsible for receiving used equipment, performing cosmetic grading, executing data sanitization, and preparing electronics for resale or redeployment using our proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS).

You are meticulous and organized, with a sharp eye for detail and a natural ability to sort, catalog, and grade items accurately. You have strong technical instincts for hardware, a knack for troubleshooting, and you adapt quickly to new systems and tools. You thrive in a fast-paced warehouse setting, value teamwork, and are reliable when it comes to following processes and documenting information. You are motivated by hands-on problem solving and are comfortable lifting and moving equipment, always ensuring every piece is securely tracked and prepared with care.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

  • ITAD Receiving & Identification:
    • Accurately receive and log mixed lots of retired IT assets (laptops, monitors, peripherals) upon arrival using proprietary WMS software.
    • Identify and verify specific hardware configurations (Processor type, RAM capacity, Hard Drive type) to ensure assets are cataloged correctly.
    • Sort incoming material into appropriate workflows: Resale, wholesale, Harvest, or Recycle.
    • Apply asset tags and scan serial numbers to maintain strict chain-of-custody for all customer devices.
  • Cosmetic Grading & Testing:
    • Perform visual inspections of used devices to determine cosmetic grade (Grade A, B, C, D) based on industry standards (checking for scratches, dents, LCD pressure marks).
    • Conduct functional testing on laptops and peripherals to verify key features (keyboard, trackpad, ports, webcam) are working prior to stocking.
    • Log detailed condition notes to assist the remarketing in accurate pricing and sales.
  • Data Sanitization & Refurbishment:
    • Connect devices to wiping servers and monitor the data sanitization process to ensure all drives are wiped according to NIST standards.
    • Perform repair and physical refurbishment tasks, including removing asset tags/stickers, detailed cleaning, and, and Battery replacements.
  • Inventory & Parts Harvesting:
    • Track inventory levels of both whole units and harvested components (RAM, SSDs, Power Adapters) in the WMS.
    • Harvest functional parts from non-working units to be used for repairs.
    • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to minimize discrepancies between physical stock and system data.
  • Order Fulfillment & Shipping:
    • Pick, pack, and ship orders for both individual direct-to-consumer shipments and bulk palletized freight for wholesale buyers.
    • Ensure used electronics are packed securely with appropriate dunnage (bubble wrap, anti-static bags) to prevent damage during transit.
    • Generate shipping labels and manifests, ensuring accurate tracking information is uploaded to the WMS.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience working in computer repair; very familiar with specific experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, or reverse logistics.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Strong ability to identify different types of IT hardware (identifying laptop models, differentiating between SSD types, etc.).
  • Grading Ability: Experience visually grading used electronics for resale (understanding the difference between "Like New" and "Scratch & Dent").
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Windows and Apple products, and comfort using diagnostic tools or data erasure software.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when logging serial numbers and assessing device condition.
  • Physical: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks including, lifting, bending, and moving equipment.
    • Must be able to handle and move IT devices carefully to avoid damage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure or 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Prior experience with data erasure software (e.g., Blancco, BitRaser).
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor hardware issues (reseating RAM, swapping hard drives).
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
